Pip and Marley got rescued by an amazing organization called Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue back in November 2018. They were found in an abandoned yard in a small village outside Budapest. But the lovely people of HHDR took them in and gave them the necessary attention and care till they were ready to get adopted or fostered. As Marley was really insecure and scared of people, they wanted to keep them together if possible.
The girls arrived at ours on 17th January 2019 and were petrified, wouldn’t come out of their crate, unless it was to go into the garden.
We had rescue cats before and had researched how to deal with rescue dogs, knowing that it would not be easy, with a lot of patience, love and care all would be well in the end, or would it? They dismantled and destroyed 1/2 the irrigation system in the garden, we lost all our rare ferns save 1, a few remote controls, my wooden clogs got eaten and spat out, there was a lot of fouling in the house. This lasted for months!
